How the estimate works
The calculator uses the wall area and the approximate brick face area including the selected mortar joint. It then adds your waste allowance. Openings such as windows and doors are not currently deducted, so subtract their area separately for a more accurate project estimate.
What brick size should I use?
A common modern UK brick face is approximately 215 × 65 mm, but products vary. Use the actual product dimensions when you know the brick you are buying. Our UK brick catalogue can help you check recorded dimensions.
