Building sand is shown as a volume in m³ with the equivalent weight in tonnes, using a planning bulk density of 1.5 tonnes per m³. This is an estimate, not a specification. Actual mortar use and sand weight vary with brick size, joint thickness, workmanship, site conditions and material moisture. Cement bags are rounded up to 25kg bags. Always confirm quantities with your supplier before ordering.
