What does the calculator include?
It calculates gross wall area, subtracts the opening area you enter, estimates brick coverage using the brick face dimensions and mortar joint, then adds your waste allowance.
Why waste matters
Bricks are cut around openings, corners and details, and some may arrive damaged or be rejected during matching. A 5–10% allowance is a common planning starting point, but difficult patterns and highly selective matching can require more.
