Marketplace Terms

These terms explain how the FindMyBrick Marketplace works and the responsibilities of buyers and sellers.

In simple terms: FindMyBrick provides the marketplace and listing service. The seller is responsible for the bricks they list, and the buyer is responsible for checking that a listing is suitable before agreeing to buy.

1. What FindMyBrick provides

FindMyBrick provides an online marketplace that allows people to list, search for and make contact about surplus, reclaimed, second-hand and leftover bricks.

Unless a listing or separate service clearly says otherwise, FindMyBrick does not own, inspect, grade, store, deliver or sell the bricks listed by users, and does not process the transaction between buyer and seller.

2. Seller responsibilities

3. Buyer responsibilities

4. Listings we do not allow

Listings must relate to legitimate brick or building-material sales and must not contain illegal goods, stolen goods, fraudulent or misleading information, goods the seller is not authorised to sell, or content unrelated to the marketplace.

FindMyBrick may remove, restrict or decline a listing where there is a reasonable concern about accuracy, legality, safety, misuse of the service or compliance with these terms.

5. Payments, collection and delivery

Unless FindMyBrick expressly provides a payment or delivery service for a particular transaction, payment, collection and delivery are arrangements between the buyer and seller. Buyers and sellers should agree the price, payment method, collection arrangements, delivery arrangements and any other conditions before completing a transaction.

6. Reporting a problem

If you believe a listing is inaccurate, fraudulent, stolen, inappropriate or otherwise breaches these terms, you can use the report function on the listing page or contact FindMyBrick with the listing details. We may review the listing and take appropriate action, including removing or restricting it.

7. Seller information and legal reporting

FindMyBrick may need to collect and verify seller information where required by applicable law. This can include information needed for digital-platform reporting and tax compliance. Where the law requires information to be reported to HMRC or another authority, FindMyBrick will do so in accordance with the applicable requirements.

These reporting requirements do not by themselves mean that a seller owes tax. Sellers remain responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations.

8. Changes and removal

We may update these marketplace terms as the service develops or legal requirements change. We may also suspend or remove listings or access to marketplace features where necessary to protect users, comply with the law or maintain the integrity of the marketplace.

9. Important information

FindMyBrick is not a party to the sale contract between a buyer and seller unless expressly stated otherwise. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or limit any legal right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
