FindMyBrick Photo Submission Terms

Effective date: 10 October 2026

These terms apply when you submit a photograph through the FindMyBrick “Contribute a Photo” form.

Your permission to submit

You must be the photographer or have permission from the relevant rights holder to submit the image. Do not submit images copied from a manufacturer, retailer, another website or another person unless you have permission to do so.

You confirm that your submission does not knowingly infringe another person's rights and does not contain unlawful material. Do not include people, addresses, documents, vehicle registration plates or other personal information unless it is genuinely necessary and you have the relevant permission. Please submit only a photograph of the brick and its relevant characteristics.

Permission granted to FindMyBrick

By ticking the permission box and submitting the form, you grant FindMyBrick a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, review, crop, resize, compress, display and reproduce the submitted photograph for reviewing the contribution, maintaining and improving the brick catalogue, and—if accepted—showing it on the relevant catalogue page and related FindMyBrick services.

You keep ownership of any rights you hold in the photograph. This permission does not transfer ownership to FindMyBrick. You confirm that you have authority to grant the permission described above. You may ask us to stop using a contributed photo by contacting us, subject to any legal or operational need to retain a record of the submission.

Review and publication

Every submission is reviewed. Submitting a photo does not guarantee acceptance, and photos are not published automatically. A reviewer may approve or reject a submission; approval in the review dashboard is not itself publication. FindMyBrick may decline, remove or stop using an image if it is unsuitable, inaccurate, unclear, duplicated, unlawful or raises a rights or privacy concern.

How submissions are handled

The submitted image is resized and compressed in your browser before being sent to FindMyBrick. The photo, related catalogue record, submission status and timestamp are stored privately in the photo-review database. If you provide an email address, it is used for submission-related follow-up and is not displayed publicly. A review notification may also be sent to the FindMyBrick review contact with the image attached.

Submissions are retained while they are being reviewed and for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the catalogue, maintain review records, address rights requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. You may request access to or deletion of information associated with your submission by emailing enquiries@findmybrick.uk. We will consider the request under applicable law and may need to retain limited information for legitimate legal, security or record-keeping reasons.

For further details about personal information, see the Privacy Policy.

Responsibility for the image

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the photo. Please contact us promptly if you believe a submission infringes your rights or contains personal information that should not be displayed.
